Creative Awakening: Integrating Art, Meditation, and Life

Mindfulness For Life and Lama Taboot are teaming up for a unique and exciting collaboration that couldn’t be more aligned with what we do. But registration closes June 12, so sign up soon!

Creative Awakening is a six-week practice series built around using what already moves you—music, film, books, poetry, and more—as objects of your meditation. In time, you'll begin to discern and emulate the aspects that most resonate—and make a new relationship with what feels dissonant or out of reach. Through both, you can increase your appreciation and manifestation of creativity.

Our guiding text is Rick Rubin's The Creative Act: A Way of Being. Each week, Lama Mitchell and Lama Adam facilitate an open dialogue where we share our own experiences working with art and meditation, and you'll do the same. It's a participatory program built on collective reflection. You'll learn to move through the world with greater playfulness and presence, hopefully becoming an artist of life.
