Anger can cloud us — or clarify what matters most.
This live, community-based series helps you turn anger into moral clarity, compassion, and effective action using mindfulness practices and guided discussion inspired by Love and Rage: The Path of Liberation Through Anger by Lama Rod Owens.
Mondays • 7:30pm • Zoom • Begins March 9
Free for Anchor Club members

Anger is information. It’s energy. It signals that something we care about is at stake.
This series explores a simple, practical question: How can we work with anger as fuel for clarity, courage, and compassionate action?
Guided by Love and Rage: The Path of Liberation Through Anger by Lama Rod Owens, and grounded in mindfulness and contemplative wisdom, we’ll meet weekly to build real skills for working with strong emotions in steady, constructive ways.
Each 75-minute session includes:
simple mindfulness and embodiment practices
key themes from the reading
small-group reflection and dialogue
practical tools you can apply in daily life
Together, we’ll explore how anger can clarify what matters, deepen compassion, and support meaningful, values-based action in the world.
The practices draw from Buddhist and other contemplative traditions and are accessible to people of any or no spiritual background. Everyone is welcome.
Schedule
Mondays, 7:30pm–8:45pm (via Zoom)
Begins March 9 and meets weekly for 6 weeks
What You’re Committing To
This series works best when we show up consistently to practice and reflect together. The learning builds week by week, and much of the value comes from the lived experience and generosity of the people in the room.
By registering, you’re committing to:
attend at least 4 of the 6 sessions, including at least one of the first two sessions
secure your own copy of the book Love and Rage: The Path of Liberation Through Anger by Lama Rod Owens
complete the weekly readings (about 40-50 pages per week)
participate thoughtfully in discussions, either by speaking or contributing in the chat
apply the practices in daily life with honesty and curiosity
help create a respectful and confidential space for fellow group members
Each session is participatory and relational. Much of the learning comes through small-group conversations and shared experience. You’re welcome to keep your camera off and contribute in the way that feels most comfortable — speaking or using the chat — and we ask everyone to engage and share in some form. Your voice and experience are part of what makes the group meaningful.
