MFL At Chili Cookoff

Last weekend, I was out at sunrise chopping onions on the front lawn of the Granville Inn, representing Mindfulness For Life at the annual Granville Inn Chili Cook-off. It was a blast! A beautiful day, great company (shout out to the Flourish Counseling team), and we met lot of new folks curious about Mindfulness For Life. Thanks to the Granville Rotary for the opportunity!

In case you’re wondering, I used this recipe as my starting point, added a mix of ground beef and pork as the protein, then added Thai chilis for that signature, slow-motion kick, and brightened it up with some Vermont apple cider vinegar. And, of course, green onions and cilantro were offered on the side. While the chili was well-reviewed, we didn’t come away with any awards. Next year, I’ll be lobbying for a “best lama-blessed chili” category, though. ;0)
